Probably founded in the 1930s, in 1938 Gwydr House School was at 20, Victoria Rd., St.Annes and the principal was Mrs.P.Dawson. 

By 1953 it had moved to no.443, Clifton Drive North; it closed about 1976 and was demolished to make way for flats.
