Wentworth House Ladies Day & Boarding School for Girls was founded about 1895. At that date it was at a house called "Mayfield" and is listed in 1903 as being at 25, Clifton Drive South. By 1907 it had moved to 19, Fairhaven Rd. (pictured) The Principal was Miss S.E. Lowe Q.S., C.M.
