RAIKES HALL GARDENS
COMPANY.
The annual meeting of the
stockholders of the Raikes Hall Gardens Company, Blackpool, was held on Monday
afternoon at the hotel.
There was a large attendance, Mr.
Smith being appointed chairman, At the commencement of the proceedings the
reporters presented themselves as usual, but were requested to retire into the
manager's office.
Almost immediately after the
secretary brought word that it was the unanimous opinion of the assembly that the
representatives of the press should not be admitted. This is the first time such
action has been deemed necessary.
