St.Annes Pier -  The 1930s

Between 1904 and 1931, the pavilion was host to many theatrical shows often performed by travelling companies which stayed perhaps for a week or so in the resort, before moving on.

The first show to run for a full season was Frank Monkton's Carnival Follies, in 1932. It was such a success that it ran for the 1933 and 1934 seasons.
