Developing Ansdell

The Ansdell district was first developed in the 1870s between Cambridge Road and Clifton Drive by the Lytham Land & Building Company. 

In the 1890s & early 1900s Commonside, Woodlands Road and Rossall Road areas were converted into a huge building site as hundreds of houses were constructed.
