Collection

by Allan W Wood

Fascinating look at the history of Blackpool,  illustrated mainly with picture postcards from a personal collection.

The book is divided into five parts:
Early views from the late 1890s.
The Tower, Palace, Winter Gardens & Big Wheel.
The three piers & the Pleasure Beach.
Hotels, boarding houses, the illuminations & comic postcards.
Views from various parts of Blackpool.

Many of the illustrations are in colour and the captions are informative.
An ideal present.
The royalties from this book will be donated to
